IBC totes come in four common sizes. The 275 and 330 gallon tanks share the same 40 × 48-inch footprint — critical if you're planning rack storage or tight dock clearances.

"Reconditioned" is a documented process — not a rinse and a hope. Here's exactly what happens to every tank before it leaves our yard.

Intake & Log
Every incoming tank is logged with its prior-contents history before it goes anywhere else. No tank moves without a record — that traceability is the foundation of every grade we assign.

Prior-Product Check
We review the product history against the intended next use. Food-safe? Chemical-compatible? Needs rebottling? The answer shapes everything that follows.

Hot Triple-Wash or Rebottle
Compatible bottles get a hot-water triple-wash that reaches every corner of the interior. When contamination demands a fresh start, a new food-safe or industrial bottle drops into the reclaimed cage.

Cage & Pallet Inspection
We check every weld, tube and crossmember of the steel cage and every forklift entry point on the pallet. A sound structure is as important as a clean bottle.

Pressure & Leak Test
Every assembled unit is pressurized and tested before the valve is fitted. Passes get tagged. Anything that doesn't is pulled for re-work — no exceptions.

Grade Tag & Ship
The finished tank leaves with a traceable grade tag showing prior contents, wash cycle and grade. You know exactly what you're getting, and so do your auditors.

Choosing a grade
The grade is the product. Here's how to pick.
Rinsed
Triple-rinsed, sold as-is. Great for landscaping, ballast and dust control where trace residue is irrelevant.
Industrial
Held non-food chemicals, cleaned for compatible reuse. The workhorse for detergents, coolants and compatible chemistry.
Food Grade
Only ever held FDA-recognized food-safe products; sanitized and documented for anything consumable.
Rebottled
A brand-new bottle in a reclaimed cage — an effectively new interior at a reused price.
New / First-use
Never held product. For pharma, ultra-pure or export applications that require a virgin container.
Reuse first, recycle last
Why a reconditioned tote beats a new one — almost every time.
A new IBC tote requires roughly 60 lbs of virgin steel for the cage, another 40 lbs of HDPE for the bottle, and a fresh composite or steel pallet underneath. Manufacturing all that from raw materials emits a significant amount of CO₂ before the tank ever holds a drop of liquid. A reconditioned tote reuses the steel cage and pallet indefinitely — the two heaviest, most carbon-intensive components — and only replaces the bottle when contamination demands it. The result is roughly 90 lbs of material kept in service, a fraction of the embodied carbon, and a delivered price about half that of new. That's not a compromise. That's just the smarter math — for your budget and the planet.

Which grade do I need?

What sizes are available?

Can I mix grades on one order?
Absolutely. Many customers buy food-grade for one line and industrial or rinsed for another, delivered together.
What is the standard IBC tote footprint?
275 and 330 gallon totes sit on a 40 × 48 inch pallet, the same as a standard GMA pallet, so they fit a standard 8-foot dock door and standard pallet rack. The 110 gal uses a 24 × 24 inch mini-pallet.
How are totes typically unloaded?
A standard pallet jack or forklift handles any IBC tote — there are four forklift entry points in the steel cage. If you pump off the bottom valve, a hand-truck can move an empty.
What valve thread is standard?
The outlet is usually S60x6 coarse buttress behind a 2-inch butterfly or ball valve. From there, adapters convert to camlock, 3/4-in garden hose, 1-in NPT or 2-in NPT — let us know your connection and we spec the adapter.
Can totes be stacked?
UN-rated totes are stack-certified to 2 high (full on full) per their certification. Reconditioned totes should be stacked with an empty on top of a full, or only when the cage is rated. When in doubt, rack them instead of stacking.
Do you buy used totes?
Yes — we buy reusable empties in Illinois and the Midwest. If you have a yard full of retired tanks, email us the grade, count and location and we'll make an offer.
